Neurolanche X Labs — Firolauss
A MetaHuman character for Neurolanche X Labs, performed through facial capture and rendered in Unreal Engine 5.2 — with her voice.
Firolauss is a character made for Neurolanche X Labs in early 2024: a MetaHuman with her own face, hair and costume, brought to life through a captured performance rather than hand-keyed animation. The piece here is a single take — a slow pull-back from her eyes to a portrait under red light and neon tubes — rendered from Unreal Engine 5.2 with Movie Render Queue.
The performance was captured with Live Link Face on an iPhone: an actress delivering the lines to camera, her expressions retargeted onto the MetaHuman's facial rig in real time and then refined in sequencer. The costume was built in Marvelous Designer and finished in Blender; the skin and eyes went through Character Creator and Substance before landing on the MetaHuman.
What the project proved was the pipeline: a photoreal digital human, a real actor's performance, and a cinematic render, all on a freelance timeline.

The spots
Four places, one voice
Firolauss cut for Neurolanche's channels: a night skyline, a treadmill in a dark studio, a sunlit classroom, a desert haze — the same character speaking to camera, each spot closing on the brand's cards. Play them for the sound.
The scenes
Four rooms, rendered
The settings of the spots straight out of Movie Render Queue, before they were cut down for the phone: the gym, the classroom, the VR headset, the gaming chair. Silent here — the voice lives in the spots above.
The performance
A face, captured
Two of the Live Link Face takes from 22 January 2024. The phone tracks the face at sixty frames a second; every blink, brow and lip shape below is what drives the MetaHuman above.
